UFC 34/Carlos Newton vs. Matt Hughes confirmed
UFC 34 (Friday, November 2nd) cards were announced. Anderson Silva who was due to challenge Carlos Newton's welterweight title was out. Full Contact Fighter Website says that according to his Chute Boxe party, Anderson who wanted to fight in Mecca Vt and PRIDE make difficulties because UFC offered the exclusive contract with him so he gave up the match. But Mr. Joe Silva of UFC says that he broke a contract, and seems toresort to legal action. After all Matt Hughes fights instead of Anderson. Hughes's record is 2 and 1 in UFC. He beat Hiromitsu Kanehara in RINGS on August. His teacher Pat Miletich got beaten by Newton and lost the belt in UFC 31. Hughes has a chance to be revenged on him and to win back the belt. And Hayato "Mach" Sakurai who might fight against Newton is not in this cards. Randy Couture vs. Pedro Rizzo and Caol Uno vs. B.J.Penn etc. are same as the initial announcement. Homer Moore who fights against Evan Tanner has had many matches in RITC at Phoenix, Arizona and won all his nine matches, though he has not fought against famous fighters. Frank Mir of the preliminary is 22-year-old and a jiu-jitsu fighter. His record is 2 and 2 in total fighting.
